Winning Bid of Southwest Aluminium Large-size Aluminium Profile Stretcher Project

New year helped Sino-heavymach turn over a new leaf. Forge & Extrusion Division of Sino-heavymach was awarded the 30MN Aluminium Profile Hydraulic Stretcher Project by Chinalco Southwest Aluminium (Group) Co., Ltd. (Southwest Aluminium for short) as a brand-new start for the year of 2025. The equipment is mainly used for stretching and straightening of oversized aluminium and aluminium alloy profiles, pipes and bar products, which is of great significance for promoting the development of domestic high-end aluminium processing field.

In this project, a series of key technologies were adopted, such as full-floating tension force concentric stretching, jaw hydraulic synchronization, material break prediction and prevention, break buffer and quick reset, individual control of overall and sectional elongation, one-click automatic stretching operation etc., which helped further improve the process adaptationand stretching precision and quality of large-size aluminium and aluminium alloy product stretching equipment.

As a benchmark company in the aluminium processing industry, Southwest Aluminium has higher requirements of the performance, accuracy, stability and other aspects to the stretching machine. Sino-heavymach is one of the earliest companies to carry out the research on stretching equipment for the extruded products. Since the year of 2000, we has supplied more than 20 complete sets of aluminium profile hydraulic stretchers with stretching force from 0.6MN to 24MN to aluminium processing industry at home and abroad. Hot Trail of Guangxi Shenglong #5 Slab Continues Casting Machine Succeed at One Time

Sino-heavymach contracted #5 slab continuous casting machine for Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical Co.,Ltd. (Guangxi Shenglong for short) as EPC contractor, and the hot trail went through successfully. The initiation of casting, starting, and acceleration ran smoothly, and the appearance of slab was regular with clear oscillation mark and uniform surface temperature, and the surface and inner quality reached the standard.

The #5 slab continuous casting machineis a two-strand 230mm×2150mm vertical curved continuous casting machine which mainly produces silicon steel, automotive plate and other high value-added products. Several advanced continuous casting technological equipment and process systems were integrated into this slab caster, and it was equipped with mould expert system, high-precision mould level control system, mould hydraulic oscillation system, mould automatic slag powder feeding robot, argon precision control system, second cooling roller-type electromagnetic stirring technology, dynamic soft reduction of solidification end, dynamic second cooling water, the cutting-edge monitoring of equipment status, and smart operation and maintenance systems etc.

Sino-heavymach has always been committed to technological innovation, and has been dedicated to serving users wholeheartedly. In recent years, we has provided multiple sets of major technical equipment to Guangxi Shenglong, covering fields of refining, continuous casting, and environmental protection dust removal, and two sides have established a deep partnership. This #5 slab continuous casting machine is another slab caster after both sides’ cooperation in the continuous casting field in 2018. The hot trail of thiscasterwent successfully ahead of the contract schedule by one month with quality and quantity secured, providing strong support and guarantee for Guangxi Shenglong to achieve product upgrading and capacity enhancement.

The successful hot trial of this project has demonstrated Sino-heavymach’s profound professional technical proficiency, our customer-oriented business philosophy, and strong team cohesiveness and effectiveness. Pyrolysis Unit of Yiwu Guanghui 15 MTPA Coal Qualification and Classification Demonstrative Project Initiated for Designing

At the beginning of the New Year, the pyrolysis unit of Yiwu Guanghui 15 MTPA coal classification demonstration project was held the design kick-off meeting successfully in Shaanxi Metallurgical Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. (Engineering Institute for short), a subsidiary of Sino-heavymach. Yan Jun, Vice President of Guanghui Energy and President of Guanghui New Materials Company; Liu Cheng, Executive Vice Managing Director of Guanghui New Materials Company; Chief Engineer Li Bin; Yu Xingfei, Deputy Managing Director of ACRE Coking & Refractory Engineering Consulting Corporation (ACRE for short); Fan Li, Deputy Managing Director of Sedin Engineering Co., Ltd.; Lei Gang, Managing Director of Engineering Institute, and Deputy Managing Directors of Engineering Institute, Ma Xuanheng, and Zhao Jie attended the meeting. Also. related technical experts and specialist from Guanghui New Materials, Sedin Engineering, ACRE Guanghui Project Office, and Engineering Institute Guanghui Project Office attended the meeting.

Yan Jun, on behalf of Guanghui Energy, highly appreciated the works carried out by the Engineering Institute in the early stage, and expressed great expectations for smooth progressing of project design and engineering. He hoped that the Guanghui project design team of the Engineering Institute could uphold a high sense of responsibility and professionalism, fully exert their professional knowledge and innovation capabilities, and ensure the scientific, forward-looking, reliable and economic design proposal. At the same time, he hoped that the Engineering Institute and all design companies could closely collaborate and seamlessly connect, establish an efficient communication and coordination mechanism, form a powerful working synergy, and jointly overcome various difficulties and challenges that may be encountered during the project advancement.

Lei Gang, on behalf of the Engineering Institute, warmly welcomed the experts and leaders of Guanghui Energy and all cooperative companies, and thanked Guanghui Energy for its recognition and trust. Lei Gang said that the Engineering Institute will dispatch a high-level team, carefully organize the design and implementation, ensure the smooth progress of the project, and strive to build it into a benchmark project in the industry, set a new model for the coal pyrolysis field in Xinjiang and even the whole country, and help the high-quality development of the local economy.

In this meeting, the Engineering Institute reported on the general layout, time schedule, process route and basic plan of auxiliaries and utilities design of the pyrolysis unit. The participants had in-depth exchanges on the detailed contents of the professional design of the pyrolysis unit, clarified the key nodes and schedule requirements of the project, and laid a solid foundation for the smooth promotion and development of the project.

The pyrolysis unit is designed by the EngineeringInstitute, adoptedwith the advanced large-scale internalheating vertical furnace pyrolysis process to utilize the low-rank coal sourced from Xinjiang Hami region for qualification and classification. The processing capacity of the coal as fired is 15 million tons per year, with single furnace 0.5 million tons per year (coal as fired) internalheating vertical furnace pyrolysis process, which can produce 7.14 million tons of upgraded coal, 1.5 million tons of coal tar, 0.77766 million tons of LNG, 20,000 tons of hydrogen for fuel cells (the amount can be adjusted), and 0.5 million tons of liquid carbon dioxide per annual. In addition, the downstream high-end chemicals and new materials are planned and constructed around the extension of the industrial chain. Among them, the raw coke oven gasfrom the pyrolysis process is used to produce LNG and hydrogen.
