Recently, Xi'an Heavy Equipment & Technology Co., Ltd. (XHET for short), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sino-heavymach, contracted Indonesia PT. GUANGCHINGDE Metal Rolling (GCDMR for short) 4 MTPA 1780mm Hot Strip Mill as EPS contractor, and its daily output reached 13,333 tons. The whole line achieved the daily production target, broke through the design limit, and successfully tested 1.0mm strip.
When Indonesian GCDMR Project was launched in 2023, it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", which is an important reflection of the active practice of the "Belt and Road Initiative" by Tsingshan Group and Guangxin Group, the core customers of Sino-heavymach, also a key project of economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia. The construction of the project took 17 months from planning to completion, setting a record for the shortest construction period of similar projects in Indonesia. Since putting into production on September 20 this year, the Indonesia GCDMR project has made a major breakthrough in achieving the goal of daily production within 80 days.
In order to achieve the daily production target as soon as possible, the Indonesian Guangqingde project team began to storage slab in preparation. On December 10, the two furnaces were initiated, and the power of the equipment was gradually increased. Starting from 8 o 'clock on December 11, the 1780mm Hot Strip Mill produced a total of 13,333 tons of coils within 24 hours, successfully exceeding the daily production target.
The 1780mm Hot Strip Mill project is a major overseas project of Sino-heavymach has been put into production in Southeast Asia in 2024. In 2025, Thailand and the Philippines slab continuous casting machine projects will also be put into service one after another.
